“Creating Fat Affiliate Sites”
#######################################################
This week:
1. Country Specific Keyword Searches?
2. Have you started your Fat Affiliate Site yet?
3. Article on finding niches.
4. PARASITES?
Hi again.
Its a short newsletter today - my daughter is behaving like a two year old ;o) (she is 22 months now) and we need to take her out to get her tired.
Let’s get on.
—————————————————
1. Country Specific Keyword Searches?
—————————————————
If you are targeting the Spanish market, or German, or French, how do you go about researching keywords for that country?
Well, Wordtracker isn’t much use here. You could always research in English, find the best phrases, and then translate them into the language of your choice. Chances are, that if a niche is hot in one country, it probably is elsewhere too. However, this is a bit hit and miss.
Enter Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool. Now I am not a big fan of this tool for keyword research in general, but it does have the advantage that they collect bid from various country specific servers.
I found this web site which makes it easy to select your language:

2. Have you started your Fat Affiliate Site yet?
—————————————————
Well? Have you?
I know from past experience that many people who downloaded my eBook will not have read it. Even fewer will have started a website using that information.
In a year’s time, when you look back on the year just gone, will you be able to say that you did your best? Will you have a suite of sites making you a decent return every month?
Some people will use the excuse that they don’t have much money to invest in a business. A fact about any business is that there are costs to setup. However, it is also a fact that an online business as described in my Fat Affiliate eBook is very cheap to set up compared to the costs of a bricks ‘n’ mortar business. An online business is truly attainable with very little investment.
If you are having problems coming up with ideas, or find keyword research difficult, then I have a very special offer for you. I have reduced the price on some of my Niche Blueprints that did not sell out. They normally sell for $50 each, or $70 for the two blueprints that month. Until the remaining few sell out, I have put the price down to $30 each, or both for $50.
These Niche Blueprints are what the title says. A blueprint for an affiliate site. A step-by-step process for building an affiliate site - you just add content. There is a manual (though you could use the Fat Affiliate Book instead if you prefer), extensive keyword research divided into groups of phrases, with instructions on how to use each set. You even have affiliate programs listed that I feel are worth considering. If you own KRA, you even get the databases so you can do your own research on the database.
Only 100 of each blueprint is sold, and there are varying numbers left for each month. If you are interested, here are the reduced Blueprints, with an idea of the niche:
October 2005:
#1 A niche for outdoor people.
#2 Related to planning events.
December 2005
#1 Related to Babies
#2 Financial
February 2006
#1 Medical Condition relating to joints
#2 Health Niche relating to nutritional supplements
March 2006
#1 Related to baby/toddler/child safety
#2 Related to dogs
You can buy them at:
Imagine developing one site a month. When you look back on the year, you’ll have 12 new sites up and running.

3. Article on finding niches.
—————————————————
Following on from last weeks newsletter where I mentioned the Google Keyword Tool, one reader wrote in and mentioned an article they had written. The article is about finding niches, but it uses the same Google Keyword Tool to find high paying Adsense niches. Its a great technique - thanks for sharing Marcin. You can read it here:

4. PARASITES?
—————————————————
I got an email this week asking me about Parasites. The term is often used in Internet Marketing circles to describe companies that “steal” your affiliate commissions by swapping your affiliate link for their own. This can be accomplished by installing software on your machine (without you knowing), and then using their affiliate links whenever you go to certain online retailers.
These secret downloads can slow or crash your machine, and often are extremely difficult to remove, often crippling your machine in the process.
So, is this something you should worry about? Well, fortunately a number of merchants have taken a stance, and don’t allow parasites into their affiliate program. That means the parasites don’t have affiliate links for those merchants, and cant swap your link for theirs on infected machines.
Look out for merchants that display anti-parasite ads.
I am not fully up-to-date on the latest parasites, but if you want to read more about Parasites, there is plenty of stuff out there on the internet. Here is an article that will give you some idea of the general feeling towards parasites:
