I have had so many questions about the $7 report I recommended in last weeks newsletter, that I needed to write. Plus, Potash is releasing his Content Composer package tomorrow, and I have a final comment or two.

1. The $7 report thing - How on Earth? And Why?

Last week, I recommended this fantastic $7 report on writing articles.
I have had so much feedback and questions about this that I decided to send this mid-week mini-newsletter.
The biggest question I have received has been:
“How is Martin Avis doing this?”
Well, for those who haven’t bought the report, let me just explain what this question refers to. You see, when you buy this excellent report for $7, there is a big surprise waiting for you when you get to the end. You see, you can actually then sell this report for $7 and keep all of the profit.
When you refer people to Martin’s site (using a special link that is described in the Report), if a customer buys it, they will pay the money directly into YOUR Paypal account. This is unlike any affiliate program I know of.
So, the question above is really asking how Martin has set this up to send payments directly to the “affiliates” account. Well, Martin uses a script that he bought for, guess what? Yup, $7. This $7 script allows you to set up a similar system whereby you can sell a report of your own, and then give your customers the right to sell it and keep all of the profits. It’s viral reports on steroids.

Now, that leads me onto the second biggest question I was asked, this week:
“Why would Martin give his affiliates all of the profits when they sell his book”.
Well, there are a number of reasons someone might do this.
Firstly, its a great way to grow your email list. Imagine creating a report that has an introductory section that pre-sells your newsletter (or even gives a big bonus for signing up). If you sell your report to 10 people, and each of those 10 people sell to 10 more, and they each sell to 10 more, then your report has been exposed to 1000 people. Not only will many sign up for your newsletter, but some will also buy affiliate products mentioned in your reports.
Another way you could increase subscribers is to have a subscription box that needs to be filled in before they are sent to the sales page. That way, they sign up to your newsletter before they can buy your report. This is probably going to reduce conversion rate quite a bit, but it is something you could test.
Also, as hinted at earlier, you can create quality reports that pre-sell other products. e.g. How about creating a report on how to get link partners. In the report, you can show screenshots of the tools you use, with your affiliate links. Obviously the affiliate link thing mustn’t be over-done. At the end of the day, your report MUST be exceptional quality.
This $7 viral things is a fantastic idea, and one I fully intend to integrate into parts of my own business.

2. Jason Potash’s product - a final word

Jason Potash has been teasing us with his forthcoming release, releasing small amounts of information about it. In the last couple of newsletters, I told you that I wouldn’t use the content spinning features of his software. That still holds true. However, if you have been following his blog:
You will know that he has just released 3 new videos showing his content composer at work.
While it has some startling similarities to my own Article Writing software (included in my Fat Content Course), Content Composer does a lot more. As an article writing tool, it looks to be the most complete piece of software that I have seen. I certainly need to re-evaluate my own tool ;o)
Even without the Content Spinning features, this tool offers fantastic value. With this package, Jason will be providing training. I haven’t seen that training yet, so cannot comment on it, but if its anything like his other products, I expect it to be very comprehensive.
So, do I recommend Content Composer? Well, that’s a difficult one, purely because of the content spinning angle, however, that appears to be just one small part of it. I think that you are going to have to visit the blog, watch the videos, and make up your own mind.
