EzSEO Newsletter # 161
This week:
1. The recent CSS Course
Hi again.
There is no newsletter this week, just an announcement about the recent CSS tutorial that has run for the last 17 weeks in this newsletter. We should be back next week with a full newsletter.

1. The recent CSS Course

For the last 17 weeks (yes, you read that right), I have been publishing a CSS tutorial. In last weeks newsletter, we finally created a 3 column CSS positioned layout, and that effectively ended the course. However, there is another very important part of creating CSS templates, and that is menus, and how to implement them in CSS.
Well, this week, I have been working hard on 6 new chapters for this course. They are:
18. CREATING A BASIC MENU USING CSS
This chapter shows how to use unordered lists to build menus for your CSS templates, without having to resort to tables.
19. MENU EYE CANDY
This chapter goes one step further, and looks at making these menus better.
20. CREATING HORIZONTAL MENUS USING LISTS
This chapter looks at creating horizontal menus (the type you might want to use across the top, or bottom of your web page).
21. GET YOUR OFFER SEEN WITH THIS CSS TECHNIQUE
This chapter is one that shows a great little technique - having a menu, add, or some other “offer”, scroll down the page as the use scrolls down. Note that this effect only works on CSS2 compliant browsers, but there is a fix for Internet Explorer which means that those users at least see the ad.
22. PLAYING WITH BACKGROUND IMAGES
Need to add background images to your templates? Maybe across the whole page, or maybe just behind a menu. This chapter shows a few useful properties that can give a variety of effects.
23. USING AN IMAGE AS THE BULLET OF A LIST.
A nice new CSS layout should use its own bullets when using lists. This chapter shows you how to use an image for the bullet points.
The entire course from the newsletter, plus these additional chapters have been compiled into a PDF eBook of around 100 pages. I have decided to charge for this eBook, but for this week only, subscribers of this newsletter can get it at a big discount.
