EzSEO Newsletter # 198
This week:
1. Get a link - Part VIII
2. A Web 2.0 Blueprint - Time sensitive
Hi again
It a short, early newsletter this week, but you wont want to miss mini-series on getting links to your pages. There is a great technique that you need to be using. The reason the newsletter is early will be clear as you read part 2.

1. Get a link - Part VIII
– — – — – — – — – — – — – — – — –
Over the last few weeks, we have been building up a resource of link building strategies. Here are those we have looked at so far:
1. Digg.com
2. Blogs
3. Forums
4. Article Submission
5. Reciprocal Links
6. Reviews and Testimonials method
7. Directory Listings
In the very first part of this miniseries, we looked at one type of Web 2.0 site - a social bookmarking site. We used digg.com as an example, but there are other Web 2.0 sites that work in the same way, and you should be on the look out for those that you can use to build inbound links to your site.
Today I want to look at a different type of Web 2.0 sites - those that allow you to create your own web page (”space” or “lens”), on any topic you want. Examples of this type of site include My Space, and Squidoo, but there are a lot of others.
The great thing about this type of Web 2.0 site is that it allows you to write reviews and pre-sell products directly from their web site.
That means you don’t even need to have your own web site to make m0ney using these sites. However, for the purpose of this mini-series, I want to suggest you use these types of sites to setup pages that ALSO have links pointing back to your own sites.
Use them for reviewing products AND linking back to your own pages.
Every time you do a search on Google, make sure you keep an eye-out for Web 2.0. sites that make it into the top 10, and think about how you can use the ranking power of these sites to help your own business.

2. A Web 2.0 Blueprint - Time sensitive

The main reason I am sending this newsletter on Friday, instead of Sunday is this section.
Charles Heflin, the guy behind “The Master Plan” (the definitive guide to creating Silo based websites) and Russell Wright, who is behind Themezoom (probably the most complete keyword research and themeing tool available today), have been working hard on a new membership site that has very ambitious plans.
They have put together the ultimate Web 2.0. blueprint that you can apply to any business, and are sharing a lot of the information for fr.ee.
“The Social Marketing Blueprint Formula is an action plan to cut through all the clutter and confusion of thousands of constantly changing social networks to harness their true power to drive targeted traffic, action and sales to your website or blog”.
Download the “Social Marketing Blueprint Formula“.
Now, remember earlier when I said that Charles and Russell were working on a membership site? I’ll tell you about that site in a moment, but before I do, there is something quite urgent I need to tell you. The membership site fees are going up every 24 hours by $10 per month. If there is any chance you might be interested in joining their membership site, you need to act quickly to get in at the lowest possible rate.
So what exactly is this membership site?
The membership site is based on the Social Marketing Blueprint Formula. Here is a summary of what the membership site contains (note that the site is currently in Beta, hence the opportunity to get in while the fees are low):
1. THE GRID - The complete reference point for all Web 2.0. activities, used in creating your own Blueprint.
2. FULL TRAINING on how yo create a Blueprint from the Grid.
3. SPECIFIC EXPERT STRATEGIES - this is a constantly updated section of the site that shares experimental results, and highlights those strategies that are working right now. When one technique stops working, you’ll learn about it here, and you’ll find out what the current best strategies are.
4. CASE STUDIES based on experiments (they give you the exact blueprint being used in the experiment). When they find stuff that works, they’ll show you the results, and how to do it yourself. As this site is just in its infancy, there are just two case studies at the moment. The first one is interesting as it shows the results of an experiment designed to test the ranking power of each social network site. In other words, which of the social sites will rank the best on Google for a given term, if all else is equal. The second case study looks at how social sites were used to boost the ranking of a web page that already existed. All I can say is that if this is the quality of the experiments they are doing, I want more. This is amazing information to have.
5. MEMBER FORUM - ask questions and get answers to your questions.
6. SOFTWARE They are “working on an industry shifting piece of software that will only be available to members that will highly automate the long, boring and mundane tasks involved with social marketing. There is no other software on the market that compares to this because nobody else has broken down the social networks into categories of action based on specific business models. This software will not be available for a few months but by joining as a member now, you will not experience a price increase when the software releases and you will be allowed to beta test, comment and help us build this tool to meet with our specific needs”.
I think that this membership site is one of the most exciting I have ever joined, and I highly recommend you consider it. Web 2.0. is not going away, and those on the cutting edge of the technology are going to be the long-term winners online. From what I have seen over the last year or so, Charles Heflin and Russell Wright are on the cutting edge of everything they do.
Unfortunately, joining the membership site does not seem to be as easy as giving you a URL.
Here is what you have to do.
1. Download the Social Marketing Blueprint Formula.
2. On the very last page of the report, they give you a link to “gain access to the most updated version of this report, the social network database and the worksheets to create your blueprint”
3. Sign up for the fr.ee account (which does not require you to enter any banking details.
4. After submitting the form, you are taken to a page that has a link to login. Click the login link, and you’ll be taken to a members page.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the members page, and you’ll see a section called “Join The Private Social Marketing Membership…”
6. Click the link to “Private Membership Benefits Resource”. The page that loads will tell you what is included in the membership site. At the bottom, there is a link to sign up, but do watch the video as it shows you the process.
Anyway, hope you find this as exciting a resource as I have. And don’t forget, that if this is something that interests you, sign up quickly as the price is going up by $10 every 24 hours.
