Simply put, a joint venture is when you work with another person on a project or some kind. This article is about finding joint venture partners to help sell your online product, whether it is an eBook, or software.

The main reasons you may want to form a joint venture is that you want the backing of a high profile partner who has resources available to him/her that you do not. This may be a large mailing list that can get massive exposure for your products very quickly. It may be that the proposed partner runs a forum, and can advertise your product using a banner. You joint venture partner may have a very successful website where your product can be promoted.

Joint Venture partners - what is in it for them?

OK, it is your product. You created it, tested it, documented it etc. However, you are having problems marketing it. You need to find joint venture partners. Unfortunately, the type of person you might approach will undoubtedly be very busy and probably see several joint venture proposals daily. You need to catch their attention. You need to provide them with a bg benefit for promoting your product. You need to offer them a high commission rate for selling your product.

The process of finding joint venture partners is a tedious one. I tried for several months to find joint venture partners for some of my own software. Eventually I did get a couple of high profile people to promote my software through their mailing lists. Sales soared. Joint ventures are definetely the way to go.

How to find joint venture partners - JVAlert Review

The way I found my joint venture partners, was to write to people whose newsletters I received and respected. I also looked through the search results of Google to find people with web sites that looked like a good match for my product. It worked, but as I said it was a long tedious process.

This is where JVAlert is supposed to help you. As a membership site, you pay a monthly fee and have access to many of the big names in affilaite marketing who could promote your products. I joined a few months back at the special introductory price of $67 per month. That price has now gone up to $97 per month (but they do seem to have a reduce price of $75 advertised when I just checked).

The site has some good resources to help you find joint venture partners. Some very high profile personalities (especially in the field of internet marketing) are already members, making your work of finding joint venture partners easy. The way it works is simple. Create a joint ventrue proposal. State what you have to offer and how much you are prepared to pay in commission. Click a button and your joint venture proposal will be e-mailed to all members who have expressed an interest in your category of product. You then just need to sit back and wait for THEM TO CONTACT YOU. Told you it was beautiful.

Is JV Alert worth the money?

I was a member for a few months so I could test the system with my own products. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed. Many of the people who took free copies of my software to review, send a testimonial, or promote to their mailing lists did nothing. I have not received testimonials, and my software was not promoted by most of them. In fact, only one person did promote my stuff after receiving her free copy. It seems to me that the people who are members of JV Alert are on the look out for free copies of software and books, but have little interest in promoting them. I cancelled my subscription, as at $67 a month, it was way too expensive. At $97 per month, it is really very over-priced.

I am sure the JVAlert system can work for some, but there were other posts on the forum in the members area where some people were having similar experiences to my own. In view of my own experiences, I award the JV Alert membership site:

I certainly do not recommend JV Alert, as I found it ineffective in the role it was designed for - finding JV partners..
