HTML to WordPress Conversion
April 14, 2009 by Andy
In the last 18 months I have converted a number of my static sites over to the WordPress platform.? There are a lot of reasons I have done this and you can read about those reasons in a moment.? However, the biggest question I am asked is this:? ?Will I lose my rankings??.? Well there is no guarantee, but the site I convert in the course is a good example of what I have found when I have done these conversions on my own site ? web traffic goes up, and so do affiliate sales / income of the site.

Hi Andy,
I bought both your WP courses. I have successfully built several WP sites and am now in the process of starting to convert my html sites. I use fantastico to upload WP. My problem is that when I try to enter the wp-admin of sites that already have html pages published the username and password don’t work! I have tried this with 2 sites and the same thing happens. I’m not going mad – I have a note of the passwords and usernames, and I have installed WP in the root directory.
I could send you usernames and passwords but I can’t find your email address.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi Andy,
It’s OK, I have sorted out the problem – there was something in my htaccess file that was blocking me.
Thanks anyway.
Great course by the way!
