This week:
1. Death of Adsense? Only for some.
2. On a budget? What is essential?
3. Misunderstanding about Orwell.
4. Other News
Hi again.
Quite a short newsletter this week. I was actually not going to write one this week, as I didn’t sleep last night, and currently feel like I have been hit with a truck. The rest of my family have both been ill, I just thought I had missed it. Apparently not. Anyway, the main reason I forced myself to write today is because of a report that came out this week, aimed at scaring people. I have had a lot of emails from subscribers asking for my opinion on it, as well as a small discussion on my SEO Website Builder user forum. I have given my opinions in the first section today.
OK, I am going back to bed (I’ll have to watch football (soccer) on the TV from bed today – my team Liverpool are playing Chelsea). Oh well, I’ll apologise in advance for any grammatical errors today, I checked spelling, but haven’t read through it.
***** ANNOUNCEMENT ******
(This bit was added on Tuesday 19th Sept as it couldn’t wait until the next newsletter)
There is a fr.ee report that has just been released by Brad & Andy (the guys who brought you those amazing videos in the last few weeks.
The report has case studies of 42 people that they have helped with their methods. They show URLs of the sites, and details of how these 42 people make a combined total of 32 million in sales each year.
Brad & Andy are going to be revealing their secrets to a selct few on 26th September (we knew there was going to be a product, right?), so to make sure you are notified of this “event”, and at least have a chance of joining if you want to, I recommend you download the report, and immediately scroll to the end where it says “Click Here To Join Our Early Notification List”. Sign up. Then go back and read (and watch) this amazing document.

Scroll to the end first, and sign up for notifications, then sit back with a coffee, and enjoy the read. I did.

1. Death of Adsense? Only for some.
—————————————————
A report was released this last week. I wont provide a link to it, as I don’t want to add to the hysteria spreading around the net. If you don’t know what I am talking about, then good on you for not getting caught up in it. Basically, a marketer has come out with a report suggesting that Adsense has died. He bases his observations on 3000 adsense sites, and because those sites are doing so poorly, he wrongly concludes that Adsense is dead. The report was part 1 of at least 2, and I am sure that part 2 will be selling something.
Scare people into buying your product is nothing new, but only if the potential threat is real.
OK, so why do I think this is all rubbish?
Well, firstly, my own Adsense income has been fairly stable over the last year.
The other thing that bugs me, and suggests to me that his conclusions are wrong, is this statement from the controversial report where he says how the sites were made:
“All they had to do was pick a domain, fill in the blanks, and wham! New site! Each of these sites used everything available today to get indexed and ranked, and followed every “Gurus” suggestion to the tee!”
OK, now I understand the report. It is saying that Adsense is dead if you build spammy sites. Well I agree with that.
Another thing. Read the end of that quote again:
“… and followed every “Gurus” suggestion to the tee!”
Which gurus were these? The ones that were also not making any Adsense money? In the last week, one real Adsense guru has spoken out about his thoughts on this. Joel Comm said:
“AdSense IS dead…
… if you focus on building garbage sites
… if you put no effort into creating your own original content
… if you expect to get rich quick
But, the reality of the situation is that AdSense is FAR from dead!”
I agree 100%, and that is why I have spent so much time in this newsletter “preaching” the virtues of quality over quantity.
I am looking forward to the next instalment in the Adsense Dead report. I want to see what this guy is selling, because it might be good, who knows? Just because I don’t agree with his conclusions, doesn’t mean that his product doesn’t have merit.

2. On a budget? What is essential?
—————————————————
After last week’s 3 months to $500 a few people wrote to me asking for clarification on various points, and some asked about the two pieces of software I recommended.
Article Post Robot is the article submitter software, and Directory Submitter speeds up submitting your sites to directories.
The first question was from someone asking about Article Announcer, which I have endorsed in the past. They wanted to know why I recommend this new tool now, instead.
Well the answer is simple. I personally use Article Announcer.
However, this tool is very expensive, so I looked for cheaper alternatives. Article Post Robot was one I bought and tried. It works in a very similar way to Article Announcer, at a fraction of the price. It also has a rapid submit feature that means you can setup your login details for all of the article directories, then press a button and have your article submitted totally on auto-pilot. With all other article submitters I have tried, you have to be sitting in front of your computer for each submission, to select article category, and click the submit button.
So, that is the reason I mention Article Post Robot now. It does the job, and it is a fraction of the price of Article Announcer.
OK, another question I got asked was “if I can only afford one of these, which should I buy?”.
My advice here is to go with the article tool. It will allow you to spread your content wide over the internet in a relatively short space of time. While you are submitting content to directories, go looking for directories and submit by hand. When you can afford it, I would recommend the directory submitter, as it will speed everything up, and keep tabs on what has been submitted where.
Finally, someone asked my what my #1 tool was. If I could only have one tool to help me in my business, which one? Well, Keyword Results Analyzer (KRA) is the one I could not do without.
Why? Because the foundation of any successful site is the keywords on which it is based. Of course, this is a slight cheat, since I would also need to get daily subscriptions to Wordtracker (or another keyword tool), so that KRA can do its magic.
Which tool could you not do without? Let me know, and I’ll publish the results of the most common ones.

3. Misunderstanding about Orwell.
—————————————————
Last week I told you about a great fr-ee tool called Orwell.
In that article I pointed out the I loved the way Orwell split up the articles into their corresponding parts – title, article body, author, resource box etc, ready to paste the article into your site. Now, a few misunderstood what I meant, and wrote to me. They thought I was saying it was OK to strip out the resource box and publish just the article on your site. No. It’s not OK, and that is not what I meant. What I meant was that Orwell strips out the HTML for the resource box, so you can just copy and paste the HTML into your page. With most article sites, if you wanted to publish an article on your site, you have to recreate the article resource box to make the links active. This is a little time consuming if you are doing a lot, but Orwell saves you this time, as IT creates the html resource box for you.
Article directories specify in their Terms that you must include any hyperlink in the article or resource box (different article directories have different rules). If you do republish articles, be fair on the author and include their link(s).

4. Other News
—————————————————
My new Article Writing Course is now in the hands of the beta testers. I just need to sit back and wait for their feedback. Once I get the green light from them, I’ll be releasing it to a select few initially, so I can further improve it before its main release. If you are interested in this course, you can sign up for notifications here.
Once you have confirmed your subscription, you will be given a URL for the blog I setup. You can ask questions and leave comments, and I’ll answer them ASAP.
One word of warning though. This course is not about how to generate 100s of articles in record time. This course is about how to create 100% quality content, that will be largely unaffected by search engine algorithms, and still be around in years to come (after all of the spammy pages gets flushed, and Adsense is even more dead for those webmasters). Only sign up if you are genuinely interested learning my strategies for creating content. I’ll be posting screenshots of what the course includes this week, as well as details of what everything does.

Are you stuck for ideas for a website? Maybe you have an idea but just don’t know how to get started? In February 2005 I started producing Niche Blueprints. These are complete plans for creating niche sites, including all of the keyword research subdivided into sections, and a manual that takes you step-by-step through using that information. I have personally researched all of the niches, and chosen those that potentially are the most pr0fitable. The only thing these Blueprints do not contain is content. I am a great believer (as I think you realise) that sites must have unique content, so why provide articles with these blueprints, that 100 people will end up using? There is no point as none of the sites will do well.
Niche Blueprints take work, and commitment, but they do eliminate all the hard planning stages.
The September Niche Blueprint was released recently, and there are still some left. This blueprint has me particularly excited because of the range of products you can sell on your site, ranging from $20 to $4000. And before you think that no one ever spends that much money online, think again. My top ever commission from affiliate programs was $520 for a $3500 purchase from Sovietski Collection. I have had a number of commissions in the $100s, and only last month had a commission for over $430 on a $2800 purchase from a Commission Junction merchant. People do buy big on the internet, and this blueprint is for a range of products that I personally think will sell very well.
For more information on the Niche Blueprints, see the website.
