EzSEO Newsletter #348 3

In this issue:

1. Important Google Link Building Update

2. Bye Bye Hostgator

3. My new Kindle Book & Createspace tutorials (includes earnings report)

Hi Again

I've published a few new articles on my site, which you can read by following the links below:

1. Important Google Link Building Update
Google have been very active in trying to combat link spam.  Their updated "link schemes" page in their quality guidelines may surprise a few people, especially those that thought guest posting was the holy grail of link building.  Is guest posting considered "spam"?  I don't think so, but the way some people use it certainly is.

2. Bye Bye Hostgator
I've had it with Hostgator.  I run a number of niche sites on their servers (I have two shared hosting accounts with them), and a couple of months ago, these servers were "upgraded".  To say I am unhappy with the upgrades is an understatement.  This article will give you some details on actually server performance, and tell you where I am moving to (again, showing server performance results for the my new host).

3. My new Kindle Book & Createspace tutorials (includes earnings report)
I have 6 of my Kindle books on Createspace now.  Has adding my books to Createspace been worth it economically?  Check out this article as I share my July 2013 earnings from Createspace.  I am going to start converting my new book to Createspace format, and will document every step.  The new book is called "Wordpress SEO", and is available on special offer for a few days.  It is all explained in this introduction to Createspace article.

Thanks for the post Andy! It’s been a while since I stopped by…but great reviews as usual:) I’ve been having issues with Hostgator as well and have been testing out multiple VPS accounts lately. Regarding Google, I do agree – overdoing is what causes issues. As time goes by, I’m having to increase the sense of randomness in my marketing approach when it comes to SEO. Great job on the Kindle books!

EZO Newsletter new logo is plastered over your current graphical header. Looks like a double print.

You might take a look at this theme. It is for mobile websites but works fine in my desktop browser too.

I think you landed on the site as I was updating it. The server that this site is on has been up/down and so slow. I’ll be moving this site when it is up long enough for me to make a copy. Check again, logo should be fine.
