Hi
I hope things have gone better for you this week than they have for me. Last weekend my hard disk failed. I have been playing catch-up ever since and still have not got my new hard drive re-installed with everything I need for my business. I have found some stuff that I do not have back-ups for at all - what a nightmare. I suppose there is a lesson to be learned here. Don't think it will never happen to you. Backup your stuff regularly.
I am in some ways fortunate in that I have always had a second hard disk in my computer that is used just for backups - it is so easy to just copy new projects to another drive. This is a great idea for quick weekly backups of your most important data. It is the small things that I have lost like FTP login details, windows favourites etc. Things that we don't think of as needing to be backed up. Take care of your data. With an explosion in worms & viruses, you need to take regular back ups. OK, here endeth the lesson.
One thing that has been good this week is finding out that there is another Internet marketer living here on the island of Tenerife. Some of you may have heard of her - she has been doing this for several years now. Her name is Pamela Heywood and she has a site over at: http://www.pamela-heywood.com . I have spent a few hours reading her archive of newsletters. This lady really knows her stuff.
By some strange coincidence, Pamela came to Tenerife from England (like me), and even lived in exactly the same area of Birmingham that I did. If she had never signed up for my affiliate program for Sitemap Creator, I probably would never have found out about this amazing lady. Should these coincidences be ignored? Or are these just more doors opening in our lives? I know which I believe. I think Pamela & I will become good friends.
OK, enough I hear you cry. "Tell me about Google Page Rank!"
And so I shall. But first, for those that have been reading this newsletter for a while, you remember I told you that I start my day with a coffee in the garden watching the dawn break? I promised to post some pictures of the early morning "sunrise" here in Tenerife when I finally got a digital camera. Well I have, and you can see a few pics
