Clickbank is notoriously bad for providing useful and meaninglful stats. Whether you are a vendor or an affiliate, it is difficult to search your Clickbank stats or do any sorts of calculations. Perhaps the biggest problem is for those who use Clickbank to sell their products. If you need to check whether someone is a customer, how do you do it?
Well, for the last couple of years I have used a tool called CB Extract. CB Extract was a great idea, but I had a lot of problems with it. Most frustrating was the fact that on occasions, it would not retrieve new transactions. That meant my data was rarely up-to-date. CB Extract support said they could not replicate the problem, so they could not fix it. I was left with software that did not do its job.
Enter CB Accountant. This tool is what CB Exctract should have been – a Clickbank statistics tool that actually works. I bought my copy of CB Accountant yesterday (18th February, 2006), and have been playing with it for several hours.
There were a few things that I would have liked that CB Accountant did not do, but after talking with the author, he expects my suggestions to be incorporated into the tool today or tomorrow. How’s that for support. In fact I have received answers to all of my three support emails in the last 24 hours, so I can certainly vouch for customer support.
CB Accountant is a tool that gives you total control over your Clickbank stats, your customers and your affiliates.
Want to email all your customers for a certain product with updated username and password? No problem, CB Accountant can email them for you. If you prefer, you can export your customer lists for import into your preferred mail merge tool (I prefer this method as I use GroupMail Pro for my mailings).
There are affiliate reports, geographical reports, paycheck, sales, unit and refund reports as bar, line and pie charts.
Imagine someone contacts you asking for the download info again. You can search for the customer by name, Clickbank Order ID, email address, affiliate, or even all of these.
CB Accountant is fantastic. I could go on with more features and neat little tools, but I think you get the idea. If you are a Clickbank Merchant, this is an essential tool. If you are an affiliate who sells a lot of Clickbank products for other vendors, this is still an extremely useful tool. CB Accountant gets my highest recommendation.
