Setting up Link Machine is so easy.
1. Create a folder on your server to hold the Link Machine scripts, and upload the install.php file:

2. Open the install.php file in your browser:

Linkmachine will install on your server, and then ask you to either create a new account, or login if you already have one:

I login using the email address that was used to create my account initially.
Congratulations, Link Machine has been installed:

It is then up to me to edit the template to be used, which is as simple as taking any webpage on my site, removing the content of that page, and inserting the following placeholder which tells LinkMachine where to insert the content:

Under Settings:

I can change the Link Categories, Upload my new template (in the Link Page Format section), plus a whole lot more.
A few quick entries in the site settings screen tell Link Machine where to generate my links page to, and what to call it.
You can see a finished Links Machine Directory at ezSEO Directory.
So, what is so great about this Link Management Software?
Well, the list of features is actually massive, but what I like is that the software was designed using good link management practices. e.g. you can quickly see not only the PR of the potential link partner, but also the PR of the link page where they have placed your link. There is Alexa data in there too. You can run a report to list all partners who have a PR 0.
With penalties being issued by Google, you need to be very careful who you link to. Linking to a penalised site will possibly get you penalised too. This PR 0 report can help identify problem links, and then remove them with one click.
Another fabulous feature is that Link Machine can check all of your link partners to make sure they still link back to you. If they don’t, you can easily send them an email, or more simply remove them.
Adding new partners is easy since you have a variety of tools to help you find partners, some unique to this software. When link requests come in, you can quickly check their site, their links page, their PR etc etc, and accept of reject. This script is phenomenal.
You can check out a free demo at the Link Machine website.
I highly recommend Linkmachine.

I would like to test this software out. The only problem is there is no way to contact the link machine team. I’ve been trying to find out the ip address and port number needed to connect for link machine through my firewall. Does anyone know?
