In my newsletter on Sunday I told you that as soon as Niche Profit Classroom re-opened I would join, have a look around, and report back any thoughts I had on this system for creating a business.
Well, they opened yesterday and I joined. I have spent the last few hours poking my nose into the various rooms, and have a bit more to update you on.
I won’t cover everything that I mentioned on Sunday, so if you missed my initial review of NPC (ie what you get when you join) based on a virtual tour that Adam Short gave me, I suggest you read it first in last Sunday’s newsletter:
Look at section 2 (A great business plan)
Niche Profits Classroom – Getting Started
When you login, the interface is the new version 2.0. At the top of the screen is the menu to access the various areas of the Classroom. This looks pretty similar to the original NPC. Underneath a large welcome message is a link to click to "get started". This link takes you to a video that provides a roadmap for the steps you should take when you start learning with NPC. This is the first thing you should watch.
Niche Profits Classroom – Forum
You’ll probably wander over to the forum next (where there are nearly 2000 members). Its worth spending a little time there to get a feel for the training, and also to hear what other members are saying. There are a lot of "Progress Reports" where members post their successes and failures over a period of time, so you can see for yourself what real members are getting out of the training.
What is clear from reading a few of these reports is that people are getting their websites up and running and a lot of people are reporting sales of their own eBooks (incidentally, one of the best parts of this course is that it teaches you how to create your own eBooks, quickly and easily) and subscribers to their autoresponders.
This is encouraging but I would also like to mention that the traffic these guys & gals are reporting seems very low (and consequently sales are not going to be what they could be).
The biggest reason for that I think is that from what I can gather, article marketing seems to be the only method of promotion some people are using. There is a 21 day traffic boost guide which describes article marketing for the initial 21 days, but this I think is only meant to be the start, and a lot of people either don’t finish the 21 day strategy, or simply don’t move on from it once they have.
From reading a few posts, it is also clear that those who are submitting articles are making a few fundamental mistakes – ie using the same article for multiple submission sites (including social sites), and also techniques like creating two articles from the same original and submitting one and posting the other on their own site. I can see a lot of short-cuts being taken. Until I can get the 21 day traffic guide, I cannot comment on whether these are taught there, or they are techniques that the members are trying on their own (I think it is probably the latter).
For those stuck in article marketing, the Niche Media Centre should help you here to find a wide range of other sources of links.
Niche Profits Classroom – Link Tracks
One cool addition to NPC (I don’t remember seeing it in version 1) is the Niche Profit Link Tracks. These are special packs you can buy separately. To quote the information in NPC:
"A "Link Track" is a high-pr (high PageRank) website that anyone (with insider knowledge) can get a backlink from. A "Link Track" is a step-by-step document (with screenshots) give you the names of these high-pr websites, and how to go about securing a high-quality backlink from them. On most of these websites, you can have your backlink in place within 5 minutes or less, by following the instructions we’ll give you. These are easy linking opportunities that can give your site a major boost in the search engines, with very little effort involved."
These are definitely something I’ll be looking at.
Niche Profits Classroom – Bi-Monthly Webinars
OK, back to the startup screen. Here you will find an invitation to sign up for the next Webinar. The Niche Profit Mastermind Webinars are great. During the webinar you can see their computer screen and hear them talking. Its a great way to learn. NPC hold two webinars per month, but don’t worry if you cannot make it to one – they are recorded and uploaded to the member area so you can watch it later. I had a quick look in that section and there are currently 12 webinars to watch, with topics such as copywriting, email marketing, list building, outsourcing etc, with most of the webinars running at over 2 hours.
Niche Profits Classroom – The Classroom
The Classroom is where you’ll go to learn the ropes. It contains 13 training modules which show Adam creating a Niche Website from scratch, and includes all the steps you are expected to make yourself. Just to give you an idea of what to expect, Module 2 is on Market Research. When you access that area you get an introduction to Market Research, and an overview of what you’ll learn in the module (how to discover a "golden" niche that meets 6 very important criteria).
When you click the get started button, you are taken to the video section, where there are actually 8 videos. These starts off by looking at the 6 attributes that your niche must possess, and then goes on to a real world example where Adam finds a niche market for his site.
Once you have watched the videos, you should then go to the resources section of the module, and in this case there are 2 documents to download. In this instance, these resources are simply the slides used during the making of the video, but they are a useful reminder. There is also an Action Steps section for each module, and in module 2, this is an 8 step process that needs to be completed. Using action steps is a great way to stay focused, and one that I use in my own WordPress training courses.
Niche Profits Classroom – Ready Made Niches
You get two new "ready made niche businesses" EVERY month. These are complete websites, with eBook, articles, autoresponder sequence etc. While many members use these for real sites, I think the best use of them is to dissect them and see exactly how the websites are put together using the NPC system. With two examples per month, you’ll catch on to their system really quick!
One of the things I like is that the niches they give you are smaller niches. The whole idea of this site is to teach you how to dominate smaller niches. While there is less traffic in those niches, there is also less competition. Adam’s site on Betta Fish is a great example. Its a small niche, but becoming an expert in a small niche can give you a great recurring income every month from the site. I believe that site makes between $500 – $1500 per month selling a cheap eBook.
Let’s have a closer look at one of the Niche Packages. I cannot tell you the niche (for obvious reasons), but I can tell you what is included in the download.
1. 6 High Quality Articles covering main aspects of the niche: The three I looked at were between 550 – 600 words per article, and there were suggested title and meta tags for each article.
2. eBook on the niche: 25,000 words eBook formatted to about 80 pages.
3. Email Autoresponder: 10 part autoresponder course that you can simply plugin to your autoresponder. Obviously you’ll want to do some editing here.
4. Graphics for site header & eBook cover. These include PSD format for editing in Photoshop or equivalent editor.
5. Keyword list in spreadsheet format: This includes a column of "M0ney word rating" to tell you if the phrase is poor, fair, good or excellent.
6. Market Profile: A 13 page in-depth review of the Market using the 6 niche attributes required for a "golden" niche as the basis for testing the niche.
7. Ready made sales letter for selling the eBook.
8. 21 Day Traffic Blueprint: This highlights the best phrases to target in the niche and tells you what articles to write and where to submit them.
Overall these Niche Packs are excellent learning tools.
Niche Profits Classroom – NPC Media Centre
The NPC Media centre is huge with 100s of videos covering too many topics to list, but these will most definitely complement the main course. There are videos on video distribution, getting links, article marketing, viral content, social media sites and so on. Some of the videos I saw in version 1 appear to have been removed, but probably because they were outdated, and maybe we’ll see updates to those?
So, now that I have been in and had a look around without Adam leaning over my shoulder, do I recommend it?
I think the answer to that is dependent on what type of person you are. If you are motivated to succeed online, and you are prepared to put in the work, then yes. If on the other hand you just want to take short-cuts, slap up a few sites and become mega-rich, then no, this system won’t work for you.
For those who are prepared to put in the work, I am sure this method will produce good results. The reason I can be confident of that is that many of the techniques they teach are so similar to my own methods.
You can read more about NPC and what you get when you join here:
For the next 7 days from the time of writing, you can join for just $1. I highly recommend that you do, so you can have a look around the Niche Profits Classroom for yourself.
