Wanadoo

I used Wanadoo for over a year as a host for my ADSL connection. In that year, Wanadoo’s support continually let us down, and often took over an hour to actually get to talk to a real person. Once connected with a Wanadoo "support" person, we were usually handed around several people, none of whom could answer and solve our problems. Since the problems were related to billing (we had been double charged on two occasions), we were anxious to get it resolved. Finally, after months of trying to get through to someone who could help sort it out, we decided to cancel our subscription to Wanadoo.

They then spent a year sending us threatening letters asking for money they said we owed, for the two months AFTER we cancelled. After finally getting a letter threatening court action, we paid, and are now taking our own action to claim back the two months we were charged twice.

I cannot seriously recommend Wanadoo as an ISP, and I know of a lot of others who feel the same. It is not worth rating this company using our usual rating scale since they dont score enough to get onto that ladder. Let me just leave you with some of the other websites devoted to Wanadoo:
