Wordtracker Magic

Are you a Wordtracker guru? John Alexander certainly is. In his new book Wordtracker Magic, he describes the techniques he uses to find nuggets of gold in the Wordtracker database.

Those of you familiar with Wordtracker will know that it provides a calculation called the Keyword Effectiveness Index (or KEI for short). The KEI will tell you when a keyword phrase has good potential or not (high demand, low competition). Wordtracker lay down these guidelines:

KEI from 0 to 10 – this is a poor word to target

KEI from 10 to 100 – Good keyword

KEI from 100 to 400 – Excellent keyword

Well, John’s techniques are a little different to how I usually use Wordtracker, and using them, he consistently finds keywords with KEI values in the thousands, tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands. What that means is huge potential.

This book is a short read, and John’s techniques that he describes are simple to follow. My advice to you is this. If you are happy with your own Wordtracker results and your sites get all the traffic you want, then maybe you do not need to buy this book. However, if your sites are struggling to be found, your visitors are not very targeted leading to poor sales, or you just don’t fully understand the beast that is Wordtracker, this book is definitely for you. I have used Wordtracker for a couple of years now, but not the way John does. From now on, I will be following his advice and unleashing the beast in those databases.
