Optimizing a web page for a keyword phrase?

Regular readers of my site will know that I have been preaching about theme phrase based content for as long as I can remember.  What’s “theme phrase based content”?

It’s simply naturally written content that does not emphasize a single keyword phrase to help it rank for that phrase.

When I first started writing about “theming” in 2005, I had a lot of critics.  Today, not so many.  In fact, a lot of marketers have come out with their “new” systems and sold them for mega bucks.  Their secret is almost identical to what I’ve been telling my subscribers about since 2005.  In 2005, I release my Creating Fat Content course, which taught the process.  A little later I released Web Content Studio which helped work through the process.

On my site, I reviewed my altime favourite keyword research tool,  SE Cockpit by Shane Melaugh.  A visitor commented on the review:

I have answered this question before, but I wanted to create a new video, demonstrating how it is possible to rank for a phrase in Google, without simply using the same keyword phrase over and over again in the content.

You can watch the video directly on Youtube

  1. Hi Andy,
i built a new website after buying Web Content Studio. I build my articles just like you say on your videos. My site ranks in the top ten for the keywords. I am making money with this site. That has never happened before.

    1. Hi Billy
I nearly didn’t approve your comment, since it is exactly what you might see as a testimonial on a product, and hard to believe. However, I have known you as a subscriber for years, and you have told me about your success before, on Facebook I think. WCS may have helped you, but you are the one that deserves credit for your success, not WCS. You put in the effort, and believed! Well done and I hope you only see greater success.
